Design of a footbridge over the old Turia riverbed in Valencia
The aim of project is the development of an alternative proposal for the currently existing wooden footbridge.
The chosen solution consists of 3 pairs of steel arches that are tilted outwards. Flexible suspension cables connect the deck to the arches when the arches are found above the deck and circular cross-section steel columns connect the deck with the arch when it is found below it.
The content includes the following documents: study of alternatives, structural check, geotechnics, equipment design, substructure, constructive process, work schedule and budget, as well as the necessary technical drawings to define it:
